6A2C Diamond/CBN wheels

Post by toolroom »

I purchased a Tool Grinder, and tossed the green wheels that came stock with it. It also came with a Norton D6A2C mounted on the right. I would like to know if anyone has used the cheap Chinese CBN6A2c wheels...OR, what most purchase that will run true. Norton wheels go for $737.00 and others are all around the $400. neighborhood. So, what wheels are predominate in this forum?

I've got 2 different diamond wheels on each side of my Baldor Carbide grinder, that's the way it came to me. The only CBN wheel I've got is a (Norton I think?) tapered cup wheel for the surface grinder (std 1-1/4" hub), which I got off ebay for a LOT less than the prices you are quoting. I'm pretty sure it was under $50 brand new.
