Mystery collet

Post by JimGlass »

The collet at the bottom of the picture is the mystery collet. The collet at the top of the pic is a 3C

Image

The 3C and the mystery collet seem to have the same thread, .639 dia x 26 TPI. The Body Diameter is .688,
2.422" OAL, large diameter is .953, Keyway width is .136

Almost forgot to mention the mystery collet is stamped POPST BRO <Chicago> 3/32

What is this collet??? Thanks, Jim

I suspect a 4 C . I have a set at school so can show a pix compared to 5C next week, but don't have any 3 C to compare.
