Angle Aide

Post by SteveM »

Picked up an interested tool yesterday.

It's called an Angle Aide.

It's a fixture that mounts to a vise and has a built-in 2" sine bar and a work stop.

You set the angle with gauge blocks, lock the angle, set the stop and when you swap parts in, they are at the same angle and in the same location.

The bar on the right side is the locking mechanism. You can also use that to adjust the angle when the work is in the vise and the sine bar would be unreachable.

The work stop clamps on the left side and uses the rod with a bend in the end to fix the position of the work piece.

Steve, can you post a picture in use when you get a chance? This sounds like a good project piece.

Pictures here might help explain a bit.

Thanks. The pictures make it pretty clear how it works:

Ah, now I see. I missed the part about the gage under the second button.
Thanks for the pics and thanks to Bad Dog for the links.
It would be a nice project for a rainy week.
