I know of a brilliant oriental gentleman named Qwon Ing that developed different kinds of Machine Tools.
and approached Santa to build them in his shops during the off season.
They brought it to market as the Claus-ing Lathe and Mill

If the elf was a rabbit and the wire was hemp and the lathe was a spit... could have been an interesting entrée.

When mounted between centers, always strap your elf with his mouth facing the axis of spin.
Otherwise he pukes outward onto the operator...

Yeah. I didn't get the point; "elf on a shelf" thing, until today. It was explained and how kids like to find where the elf went. There is a meaning before that. I don't know if the tyke who finds the elf, is the one who hides it. One was in the oven and the Mom preheated it.

I don't have an elf but think he would look hot in my farriers forge. On the anvil too. ;)
