what Pete said for me also. Using actual Vactra #2, the cross slide and the tail stock slide like glass across the ways on the Cincinnati 18” lathe much smoother and controlled than using the after market way oil I on the lathes I have at home.

We couldn’t find any for sale on Oahu, so asked a local machine shop that does work for,the RR if we could buy a quart of their stuff. They gave us a gallon. They buy and ship it to the islands in 55 gal barrels.
