On November 2, Hammermill (Ken Long) passed. He was a huge community volunteer helping with many different organizations. His contributions to The Pendleton Round-Up and The Happy Canyon Indian Pageant and Wild West Show are not only large but difficult to replace. I particularly will miss his ability to accomplish a $100 job for 10 bucks. He was an inveterate scrounger and always had some crazy little trinket that was just what you needed. He even figured out my nom de plume here on Chaski at the time when I was still zealously guarding my identity.
He will be missed.

Re: Hammermill has passed
Very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a kind and generous man, more than willing to lend a hand. Rest in peace, Hammermill.

Sorry to hear this!
Vision is not seeing things as they are, but as they will be.

Hammermill is a great guy for more reasons than I knew. Deep sorrow he has gone from this plane. We remember.
