One of my customers is a bearing mfg. Some things are done a little differently than in this video, but it is still amazing to watch. My wife can always tell when I have gone down there to work, I come back smelling like cutting oil. All I have to do is walk in and I pick up the smell.

That second vid is more for the machinist person.

I'm always amazed at bearings, how they can be so well made and so cheap.
Well, the more common sizes at least.
Mass production has killed a lot of skilled jobs, but has made some great things available at usable prices to us too.

The second video is excellent. It's ibteresting to hear them reference 'total vertical integration,' a concept U.S. manufacturing has largely abandoned.
