Home Made Rotary Broach.

Post by armscor 1 »

Hi Guys, needed to make brass plugs with an internal 10mm Hex.
Made this rotary broach, the most difficult aspect was to grind the cutter without a tool and cutter grinder.
Improvised by using my mill drill, made a spindle lock and a jig to hold my die grinder and ground the tool, happy with the result although tedious cranking the "Y" axis by hand.

Well done! It's amazing the things one can do with just a little imagination.

Smart idea! I'll have to remember that!
