Automated Gate

Thanks to SgtWookie for the plan to operate a set of crossing gates for a model railway.
I appllied the plan to open the drive way gate when the light on the automatic garage door goes on and close when the light off. This gave me a push button control from the car.
The sytem is 24 volts supplied from an old 30 volt transformer, added a 4 diod bridge for DC and a 2 x 4 relay to handle the limit switch logic.
The rely coil is 120 volts.
The is a switch on the transformer 120 V supply to isolate the system from the garage door.
Spent about $150.00 for the surplus parts for the gate wheel and drive and 70.00 for 200' of 3 pair cable from the garage to thr gate.
The gate supplier wanted about 2K for his system installed.
