Hang in there Harold, we are not all hats.

We might even shed light occasionally.

It might be the part of the country I am from or maybe how far back in the sticks I live. We shed light on a subject and we spread light on a subject and when we are trying to be proper, we shine light on a subject. I know my dog sheds his hair, ain't the English language wonderful.

My aunt was from Oregon and when I was but a wee lad, I went to visit. We went fishing down at the crick. When I asked if a creek was a crick in Oregon, what do you call a stiff neck. The reply was, we call it a kink.

I guess I should quit this mess for now.

There's this cheap clamp-on desk lamp with a halogen bulb. I got mine from HD and my desk is a not really a desk. It lasted until it didn't. The internal cord was good and the BX type coated flex neck is very stout and holds position. It is a cheap flex lamp, about 9$ then but was very good. The clamp is plastic and will eventually break. The good thing is that the flexible neck seems well made and terminates in a male threaded end similar to 1/2x20 which with a U bracket could be attached to T slot or anything.
I initially was suspicious of it and eventually bulb went. A little T4, that was after a few years. I wouldn't mount it to the table I generally only want to adjust around the cutting edge but you can light up the table with this this.

Harold--

You would look good in a hat! And, our membership requirements are pretty simple as long as you know someone with a camera.
