OT: HSM /VP site un-findable?

Post by JTiers »

I assume it is universal, but the entire Village Press site, including the HSM BBS, has been not only down, but un-findable all day for me. All I get is a "looking for" message, followed by the nice Firefox "are you sure you typed it right?" message.

I haven't been able to get on for a couple of days, and just tried again with no luck.
It did this a few weeks back, but only for a few hours here and there.

Yep . Not been able to find it since yesterday.
I was waiting for someone else to bring it up. :-)

From the HSM site:
Village Press experienced a server failure over the past weekend and is currently working to fix things. Not all the required hardware will be here and functional until the end of the week (April 15) and there will be numerous disruptions and slowdowns until then.

I apologize for the frustration this will cause.

Also, if anyone has tried to email me, or will be doing so this week, I only have sporadic access to my email and I'm pretty sure I lost a few messages in all of this. If you feel that your email did not make it through to me, please send it again to gbulliss(at)yahoo(dot)com. My villagepress email address should be usable again in a few days.

Thanks for your patience.

I'm glad George posted the info. I was trying to contact them but couldn't get through. I wasn't trying to hard because they surely have their hands full now. I hope they can solve the problem and not loose the site and everything on it.
