Mill Power Feed Add-on

Post by dkinzer »

I see a seller has been offering a variable speed power feed unit on eBay (e.g. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3105049890). I also see that Harbor Freight has what looks like an identical unit on sale for $179.99 (see http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... mber=34237). This unit has 135 ft-lbs of torque, HF offers a 150 ft-lb unit for $229.99.

Has anyone seen or used one of these (probably Chinese made) units? If so, what are your comments and impressions?

I think the torque may actually be 135 inch-lbs not ft-lbs as I originally posted (and as listed in the auction and HF web page).

Don,
I cant log onto the HF site but the one posted on Ebay looks like an Align unit from Taiwan, a nearly universal make now. They do have a web site. Have had several of these units in varying torque (inch/pounds) sizes and applications and have found them good overall, just dont try and get spare parts as they get older. I was trying to repair one that is 10 yo, cheaper to get a new unit. Hope this helps.
