The handwheel came out of inventory
I pressed in a sacrificed cheapo ¾" socket I machined down and cut off
and made a crank handlehandle more or less "freehand"
That's a neat solution. Is the socket keyed or pinned?

Yes, I saw that. I was just asking if it was held from rotating by anything other than the press fit.

Neat idea. I have to make some handles to replace some missing from my mill and that will work nicely with an 8-point socket into a round-hole handle, since most of the handles I have lying around have round holes and I need to stick square pegs in them :-)
