Same from here up in the ice. At least I only lost power once, but thousands of others all around aren't so lucky.
May we all experience the spirit of the season and have a bright New Year.

I had to 'splain this to my Son, as getting coal is a good thing to most on this board!redneckalbertan wrote:Here's hoping that you've all been bad boys and girls this year and Santa fills your stocking with coal!

Hi There,
The coal reference is based in the eighteenth century where London used
coal for heat. Therefore, if you were bad, you didn't get a fun toy but at least
you would be warm. So, coal wasn't a "bad" thing. It just wasn't fun.
Good Luck!

Merry Christmas to all!
PS: if you are freezing in the Toronto area, please burn your lump of coal in a safe receptacle with adequate ventilation.
PPS: if by chance you did't get coal, don't use a candle to check the fuel level in your generator.

And season's greetings to all from the Canadian prairies (where we are in a heat wave - it is only -12C, the warmest it has been in many weeks!)
