Geometric Thread Chasers

Post by JohnHudak »

Hi All, I recently picked up a Geometric 5/16 DSA thread chaser head.. I was wondering which series chasers will fit it? Will D or DS inserts fit my DSA head?
Thanks; John

Go to the Geometric site or similar and there will be a table of what chasers fit what head. In some cases, the D and DS chasers will not work in the same heads.

Geometric used to be a part of Greenfield Tap & Die - not there now, just checked - will have to search.

Operating machines is perfectly safe......until you forget how dangerous it really is!

What I just found: Geometric® brand was acquired by ATI Stellram's Landis® Threading Systems in June 2013, & later sold to Landis Solutions, LLC.
Still having trouble finding anything of use there.

Wow, great info there... Thanks to everyone..!
Glenn, from your first photo, it looks like style "D" chasers will fit all of the D heads, D, DS, DSA
I guess I'll order a set and try it out..
Thanks again

Better order chasers specific to your head model - if a D, DS probably will not fit. I have several geometric heads and chasers are generally not interchangeable between different models. The chasers all look alike but some critical dimensions are not.

There is a chart out there somewhere that shows what will fit where - used to be on the Greenfield site - no longer.
