Precision Matthews lathe

Post by Vern2 »

This is the site I found with a Google search. I've never heard of this lathe.

Now the Precision Matthews 11x26 is in 1/2 of the two car garage.

I started a new index page of Shop. Here will be a jumping off point for I hope will be the progress of what started out as a utility closet off a two car carport.

Hi Vern. Likely the Mathews is just another copy of a typical import lathe. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your shop.
Did you ever get the controls on your lathe figured out and get her going again? We all go through the learning curve. Manuals written in Chinglish don't help. But fortunately most basic lathe controls seem to be consistent. I'm no expert, and get so busy with daily life its been hard to find time for the hobby.

Added new pages to web site. Go to bottom of this page. http://www.enichesoftware.com/shop/lathe.htm

It's just too hot to spend time in garage. I'm doing the leg work to add heating and cooling to shop.http://www.enichesoftware.com/shop/heat%20pump.htm

It starts out with a small 36" break I bought for any ductwork I can't buy. And metal shelves in new converted lathe stand to work bench. http://www.enichesoftware.com/shop/lathe%20stand.htm
