Would you mind sharing a picture of the Baldor motor you installed. Maybe a shot of the dataplate with the frame size etc....

I could and would gladly but it wasn't an exact fit and required a me to modify the base plate on the machine. I bought it as a really good deal on ebay.

I haven't run my DF 1224g yet, but the Baldor 2hp bolted right in. Wiring. It's a 56/56H frame. However the two step sheave on the Taiwanese motor had a 3/4" shaft, whereas the Baldor was the much more common 5/8" requiring a to make up a new sheave. I used two cast iron hub ones and milled off the hub and bolted together.

Since I was going 3 phase with a VFD I didn't bother with the double pulley and just put a single the same size as the most worn AL pulley. It's never been a problem.The motor I bought was an oddball I can't remember the frame size but it was longer and smaller diameter.
