All sounds very much like my G0519. To hold the spindle for tightening the draw bar, I just made a spline wrench out of a big washer and a piece of 3/8 steel rod. I have not had anything come loose in a collet yet. On the Z fine feed - that also sounds typical from reading other mill/drill user comments. My Z axis is dead on for maybe 1 ~ 1.5 rotations, then loses about .004. Every 2-3 rotations the error compounds. So I stuck a nice digital scale on it and quit worrying about it. All in all, it' a decent machine. Not even close to even a $6K chinese knee mill, but usable. I do want to get into more precise work and when I do i'll just replace it.
