Bijur Oiling System - parts source?
Bijur Oiling System - parts source?
I am currently trying to get some much needed maintenance done on my Bridgeport mill. As part of that want to fix and replace one of the lines on the Bijur oiling system. I have a compression fitting missing and want to replace the plastic lines. Cant match up the fitting or lines anywhere local yet so I am looking online for a good source. Anyone deal with this already? Reading some older posts here I didnt understand if they are using some special sizes.
Its an older system - model LMG. Pictures here.

Try McMaster Carr for parts. the last picture is a metering unit, they have a number stamped on them for the amount of flow of oil.
Re: Bijur Oiling System - parts source?
Ok...thanks. Yes this metering unit has a FJB 1 stamped on the outside. I assume this is to control the flow in one direction.
McMaster Carr is a good idea...however I do not know what size these fittings and lines are. The fitting especially doesnt seem to be something standard I have found locally with the correct compression nut and ferrule.
I have seen reference to 4mm and 6mm plastic tubing as well.

Surplus parts are not the right size. Only Bijur parts will mate up. They have every thing that you need.

Can't remember if they are flow units or control units, but these guys should have something.

Ok....thanks guys. I am going to contact Emerick and Machinery Parts Depot and report back the results.
I have to say, this is one of the easiest problems to fix that has become complicated for no reason. Never figured that this would be so hard to find parts or that they would be special fittings like this.

Just finished rebuilding the same vintage oiler. I ordered most of the parts from http://www.fluidlinesystems.net/default.asp?m=0
They also sell lube usa meters which are drop in for bijur and about half the cost.

Ok, good to know on Fluid Line Systems...
I just got off the phone with H&W Machine Repair and they seem to have everything I need. Shipping out today so I can confirm next week. Total parts about $25. Pretty happy with that.
