Bridgeport Promill knee replacement help

I just purchased a Bridgeport Promill and need some help or direction to go on how to replace the knee. Any help or advise appreciated.

Not enough info on what you are trying to do. pictures would help . BP promill? not familiar with that ,CMC conversion of some kind?

It's a knock off brideport...elevation pinion gear for the knee is out of it. I want to know how to put it back in. It is being delivered in a week so I can send pictures then. Definitely appreciate any help. Thank you

well, this manual has exploded parts diagrams for the hardinge/bridgeport series 1 mill.

around the knee crank, there is a pattern of 4 bolts.

remove these bolts and the cover they hold and out will come the shaft to which the gear (should be) attached.

reverse process to install gear.

suggest you check the mating gear and replace as needed.

block knee with cribbing to hold in place since you will probably have to manually turn the knee screw DOWN to get the gear(s) in / out and don't want the knee dropping on you during the process.
