Benchmaster Milling Machine Question

I'm purchasing a Benchmaster mill and need to build a table to mount it on. When I looked at the machine it was on a pallet and I couldn't lower the knee.

How far does the screw on the knee extend below the machine base when the knee is fully lowered?

I'd say a foot would be lotsa plenty underneath.

I just measured mine at 8 1/4".
