"Got the train?"
To me, it actually looks more like locomotive parts! I'm pretty sure, a train, is what the loco pulls.

Just as some back ground, I am a retired Lehigh Valley Railroad locomotive engineer, and I also spent time as a Road Foreman of Engines on Conrail. The reason I am replying is to talk about what constitutes "a train."
Yes in general terms a train is what the locomotive pulls. But on real railroads there is a very specific definition of what actually constitutes a train. By definition a "train" is one or more locomotives coupled, either with or
without cars and
displaying markers. So a single locomotive can legally be a train, so long as the rear markers are illuminated. A light engine move to balance power would still be listed by the dispatcher as an "extra" train denoted by the engines number.
The reason the "train" must be displaying markers is to show other trains or tower operators that the train is complete.
