Fallen Flag - Riverside Live Steamers

Post by BAdams »

Past President, Honorary Member and Roadmaster Ken Casford passed away peacefully Monday evening, April 10, 2017 after a 7 month stay in Hospice Care.
Some of you may have known him as "Box Car Ken".

Services are pending at this time.

Sorry to read such news. After several email exchanges over the years regarding track/turnout design and construction, I finally met Ken in June 2014 during a trip to the West Coast...and a ride up the hill from LA. Ken was most cordial. As we sat and talked at the train stop by engine service area, we watched numerous trains go by. No doubt he was an invaluable "fixture" to the RLS operation. Met his son during the same trip as well as many other RLS members...after seeing their names in the Chronicle. Always nice to put faces with names. Share photos of my equipment and travels as well. Please extend my condolences to the Casford family. Peace be with you and high greens Ken! Carl B.
