Got restarted on the project after getting back from sunny Florida. Machined and mounted the main rods.

Set the eccentrics and timed the valves today. Also blocked it up and ran it on air. A little stiffer than I would like it to be, but it sounded square in forward and reverse,

Sorry do not know how to make Utube videos.

Pinning the eccentrics next, I don't trust set screws not to slip.

First trial fit of the boiler and part of the cab. Working out the manual brake lever placement and location of some of the brake linkage. Noticed the ports for blow brown are in the cab and will have be plumbed thru the cab floor.

Lookin' good.
I see the couch on the background. Does that mean you are working in your living room?
'Wouldn't be the first to do that.

No not the living room, I finished half of the basement 30 years ago for a play room for the kids. Now it's my clean assembly area away from all the dirt and chips on the shop side of the basement.

Finished machining the baloon stack casting this afternoon. For some reason the previous builder had only machined the bottom half for some reason.

Where did that beautiful balloon stack casting come from? That's really nice.

It came with the engine project. I do not know who the casting supplier was.
