Thanks Gary for the info. I had it pointed out from an other member of this forum that solid wheels were used on the SG conversion R. The tender is coming along nicely. Keep up the great work.

Hello Garry,
when I scrolled all your impressive photos, there was the information regarding working preasure of your vessel (90 psi).
My type of oil burner should get a nozel of 0.6 mm to 0.7 mm diameter (steam).
A nozel of 1.6 mm diameter should be used for the fuel then. (The drawing is showing these dimensions, too).
These dimensions will atomize about 4 liters of diesel per h @ 90 psi with an adequate amount of steam.
The steam nozel should be tapered slightly (Laval). The adjustable outer nozel must get a precise fit not to suck air instead of fuel.
The adjust may be done either by a lever (as shown) or a gear (for more precision). The angle to be turned from 'shut' to 'full' will be less than 90° @ thread of 1 mm / turn.

Gary, Your tender is a work of art . As someone who appreciates the details, your attention to them is outstanding.

Progress on the build has been interrupted by a 5 week holiday to the UK to visit the Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition then some home renovations,
The tender under frame is finished started the detail on the tank then realised I still have approx.6 months to finish so I decided to have a change & finish the boiler
