Brilliant! More please.

When you had the cab laser cut, did you draw the rivet holes as "holes" or as "points" for the laser to follow?

Thanks

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

ADK,

I Drew them as holes. My drive screws require a 1/16” hole, so that's what Drew on my drawing then copied an moved the hole.. repeat as many times as needed. My laser cutting service is pretty right on with the thinner metal cuts.

Hey all,
Been busy with life, haven't had much time to work on the engine.
The axle stock arrived, along with the sprockets, which were delivered to Chris.
Which he now has turned, an mounted the wheels.
This next weakened we are slapping the truck frames together, an welding them up, I hope.
Cheers

Good work! Are the spokes going to be rounded or are they going to remain square?

Stuie,

I think I'm going to leave the squared off. They sit behind the frames, jboxs, brake rigging an other view blocks.
So I'm not to worried about them being perfect spokes. That an all the underframe goodies will, be painted black.. So, I think they won't stand out to bad.

Well,
We didn't get the trucks welded up this weekend as I had hoped, but we did get the bolsters fitted, welded, an bolted to the side frames. :D
The wheels where fitted in the jboxes an slid in the frames. Things are taking shape with the trucks.

The pictures are of the bolster, truck with motor sitting in about the right spot. An the truck with the pilot sitting about where it should.

Next on my schedule is the body frame, and body while my construction pard is on leave from the shop for abit.
cheers
Jason

Hey all,

Had a dry spell on working.
Now, that I had some time and good weather.
Got some channel cut for the frame.
I also cut some tubing for the body
As well as I cut the sides down to the right size.
Now with all that cut, and some extra lumber I mocked up the engine.
And wholly heck is big! I'm lovin it!
next on the agenda is getting the frame welded together an the body panels riveted to the tubing.
When the machine shop guru gets back into town well work on the equalizing suspension.
That's all for now.
Cheers
