Michel that looks really good .How did you end up holding the top brass piece .

It's held by the 1-64 round head machine screw at the top. I'm concerned it will interfere with the truck pedestal, hadn't really thought of that. I'll try and see. Worst case, I can probably organize a flat head screw with a reduced diameter head.

You've made fast work of those, Dale. What material did you end up using? Bronze as suggested?

Hi Todd Yes it is phosphous bronze . Last night I took 1 set and sanded then buffed them boy they looked great .But sure was a lot of work .

I have a question with the design of the springs. If they are built so they are already straight instead of curved, wont the bow so they look like they are springs that are out of adjustment when the locomotive is fully built and has its weight on the drivers?

Yes that is a thought that I have to ,but every thing is adjustable so we will see .I have a book coming with about 600 pictures in it of the k 27 so maybe I will be able to figure them out. Thanks for asking . Dale
