Awesome Chris! The boiler looks great...What material did you use?

The blue flame coming out of the firedoor is pretty cool!

Hey Andy,

the Boiler is made of Stainless Steel 1.4571.
The blue flame goes in the firedoor, we used a normal
propane burner.

Andy , a few time ago we talked about pictures of the J, did you find something?

To all, do you see the Possibility for getting Pictures of the J enginebed.
Do someone know to who i need to talk for getting pictures of the restoration?
I think that they remove the hole 611, so the frame will be naked, pictures of that moment will be
great for my building process. All other pictures are welcome too, it will be a big help for me.

All the best,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I don't remember the pictures you needed. I may have a pic of the engine bed somewhere. 4-8-4 frames all looked pretty similar.

The 611 will most likely will not be disassembled that far. When I worked there she was a 4-2-4 for awhile.

The N&W Historical Society has prints. Contact them. They are very friendly to deal with as is the Museum in Roanoke.

Hi Andy,

no problem, i still have the drawings of the engine bed, bought on NWHS.org.
But i need pictures for some Details of the frame. Its hard to get it from Germany.
I contact Bob Lyndall (classiclight on YouTube ) he made the great Video of the removing
of the timken runing gear, but he didnt answered. I have a lot of pictures of the hole engine
Detail pictures are rare and im still searching for...

Hi Chris,

I'll see what I can find.

I know there are some pics that you are looking for in books on N&W power. I have a number of those and will look in them, too.
