I will be doing an excursion trip tomorrow from Quito. Unfortunately it's a diesel engine. The steam excursion runs twice a month and doesn't fall on my visit.
I went to the station yesterday to book the ticket and saw the mogul engine in the yard. Took a number of photos but will have to wait until I'm back home to post. Engine has a Baldwin plate. One interesting mod is a big air compressor mounted on the top of the tender.
