What is being used for water connection between locomotive and tender? Quick disconnects or something else?

The #7 mogul has garden hose sized fittings that are pretty heavy built and the hoses are the braided reinforced clear hoses so that you can see movement in the water going thru them. While not prototypical it was more about ease of use and functionality.

My Ottaway (12" ga 4-4-0) uses black automotive water hose stuck on black iron pipe, with simple marine grade stainless hose clamps to clamp down to the pipe ends... As with Alcosteam, more about functionality over form.
