This looks to be a 3" scale train on widened 18" gauge track? This was often done on older grand scales trains like Cagney's, etc.

I owned a Coffman for a short period of time and posted on Chaski looking for some help in finding out where it may have run up in New England. The topic can be found at:

It was a nice locomotive, but I already have a big project in hand so sold it off. Its another one I wish I had kept.
