Without any knowledge of the principals, my observation on the irony of this situation:
1. Apparently the RR Warehouse business is for sale.
2. The owner presumably wants to maximize the value of his business to get the best price.
3. The perceived value of a business is a function of their services and products offered, the amount of annual sales and their business reputation.
4. Obstacles to purchasers and dissatisfied customers adversely all of the above, and thus reduce the value of the business.

Am I missing something here?

The common rule for small businesses of a supply nature is 3x the annual sales + inventory at wholesale cost. This is the formula that works, anything else is just fantasy. Machinery that is often related to production is often separted out, as a sub script, or sold separtely, and new, or substitute equipment obtained to support core functions. Equipment is often the breaking point of deals, along with the mental overvalue of the owner. Let a company bankrupt, and see what the real market bears, just pennies on the dollar.

Not an incrimination here, just an observation. My long past dealings with RR warehouse, were very mundane and straight forward.

Hey Dave,
Don't give up hope just yet. things may work out. By the way, I drove past your place last night but saw you were busy oiling the hinges on the doors for the missile bay. Give me a heads up when you fire that thing off will ya,

Dave,

Are you planning on coming to the PVLS 60th in August? Would love to see the K-4 in person and under steam!
