The Ole "Scorcher" will be missed, my prayers for his family and High Greens on his run to heaven.
I always had a great time running with Harry down in Texas his stories always made for enjoyable listening
his 2-8-0 had more miles on it then some proto type engines ever saw

RIP my friend

So many of our older generation are moving on.
The vacuum created by their absence may never be filled.
Be kind, and polite. Ask lots of questions. Take photos
and video if possible.

We'll miss you on the rails, waiting in the hole for you to go by,
Harry. High greens.

Condolences to Earl and the rest of the family.

The e-mail said that his last run was at the Annetta Valley track back on Oct 4. Even then he was showing his great-grand daughter how to operate his diesel. Passing the torch to another generation.

I'm going to try to run more, and enjoy it more when I do go run. You never know which run is gonna be your last.

We'll miss 'ya, Harry!

I met Harry at LALS at least once. He and Bruce Ward were having something of an informal competition going until Bruce couldn't travel anymore. They were trying to see who could visit the most layouts. Harry won that one. Bruce only made it to something like 57 or 58 tracks. Harry had more notches in his throttle. Cary
