cast iron piston ring source

Post by 765nkp »

I am looking for cast iron piston rings for a 1.25 bore, (piston valve rings for a Mikado I am working on)

Anyone know where I can buy some, I would rather not have to make them.

Viton piston rings would also work if anyone knows where I can get those.
Thanks for any help

You might try Cole's Models. Martin Becker purchase a huge supply of them in many different sizes. Maybe they still have them.

I bought mine from Cole's recently for the Clishay which also uses the 1.25". No problems with service or delivery.

A timely thread, as I am in the need of some 2" diameter piston rings myself. I will try Mike V. first.

I know that Allen Models of Michigan has 2" piston rings. Their mogul/ten wheeler/Consolidation/American all use 2"x3 1/4" cylinders.

Either Allen Models or Mike from L.E. would be great to work with.
