Free download D&RGW 3" 7" arch bar truck drawings in 2.5"
I have created these drawings with the help of Jim Schmidt, of the 3" 7" arch bar trucks for the 25 ton, 20 ton and the the caboose truck used by the D&RGW narrow gauge. Go to my web site www.branchlineproducts.com
They look the best if you print them on 11x17 paper. There are 5 drawings.
Hope you enjoy.

I agree with Jim - WOW, FANTASTIC. I was just in the process of converting the trucks to 2.5 scale from the set of stock car plans I got from you. You just made life a lot easier!!! Thanks for sharing the plans.

Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Does anyone have a technique for bending the eyes on the caboose springs? My best idea is a jig or two of some sort, bend them red, and then heat treat. Mine will be a little easier to bend than the ones in the drawings - they only need to be about .040" thick and .500" wide. I've already proved that the spring stock doesn't bend without annealing, and suspect bending the annealed material cold is an invitation for failure.

Dick,
There is an article in an old LS or Modeltec about how someone made nice looking caboose springs...I'd have to dig thru to find it. Does anyone else recall it?

Thanks Jeff. By any chance - are you going to be adding these to your production line? Timmy
