Got all of the pedestal parts made today for the Newbie Project. Everything is cut out and waiting till the warmer weather gets here if it ever does, so I can proceed with welding the frame parts.. [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/crazy.gif"%20alt="[/img] The springs are standard Cannonball springs as used on their Bettendorf trucks. See attached pic.

Dave, the suspension in the photo is for the drive boxes of the Newbie Project. The Newbie has only two axles and they are chain driven from a center mounted jack shaft. I had hoped for warm weather so I could start with the welding today, but it is still cold (colder than yesterday actually) so I suppose I will have to make some more small parts and work on the drawings, anything to stay in the basement shop where it is heated. I know what it islike when the weather doesn't cooperate. Last week it was so hot i had my shirt off and three fans going in my shop. modelsteam

Gadzooks! Why cant you send some of that warmth up this way. We are still getting January weather here. Heck the bay is freezing up again!
