Pressure Gauge

Post by backyardrails »

Hi Guys
Maybe some of you could help me. I am looking for a panel mounted brass pressure gauge that is 1.5" diameter with a rating of 150 psi. One similar to the picture I posted. I want to replace the one on my 1" 4-4-0. Do you know of any suppliers?
Thanks
Bernie

They have 160 psi gauges as well as others. Just psi markings, no kpa, which I find easier to read. Have back and bottom mount 1/8" npt, 1-1/2" diameter. Best prices, too.

What would be very helpful would be a
Nice Crisp, Clear, Color, photo of the front face so we
could read mfg. info etc.,and or any tag or engraved,
or stamped info on the actual gauge you now have.

Bernie,

Just a thought, the max pressure of your gauge should be at, or higher than, your target hydro-test pressure.

Hi Guys
I took 2 pictures of the gauge. I have the safety set at 90 psi. I would like to find a brass gauge but it seems difficult. To think there was hundreds of these things available at one time. The inscription is Stop-Fire Inc. Brooklyn NY. Thanks for the help.

I seem to recall a thread on this site, but I can't find it after much searching. The poster took a pressure gauge apart, changed the paper with the numbers to give it an older look with different markings and font. I think they also made some other changes but I can't remember what. That may be something to consider to make the replacement look like the current gauge.
