Why would you want to plumb your blower line into your main exhaust? Looks like you would just be adding back pressure on your cylinders and exhaust, which would make for some funny things happening... Best to keep the two quite separate.

I didn't even get off the peg. The joint between the boiler / smokebox was so bad and the blower line was too small, I could not get enough draft to make decent vacuum. This also explains why I could start on the bay with the fan (grossly oversize) but couldn't keep the fire up out on the road.
