Jim Cook Whistle Plans

Post by Steam Engine Dan » Sun Feb 28, 2016 12:52 pm

hi everyone, question for everyone out there. anyone know of or hear of a man by the name of Jim Cook who made plans for a Boston and Maine whistle scaled down to 1 1/2 drawings. my dad came across a print that he believes was made by Jim in 2003. no website no contact information. just one whistle drawing.

has anyone ever heard of him? just out of curiousity

thank you

I believe that the Jim Cook you are asking about was a member of the Pioneer Valley Live Steamers in Southwick, Mass. You may want to make contact through the website to see if some of the longer term members can get you more information. PVLS.ORG

BTW, the way iI found that was I googled and found a forum where it was mentioned and a link was given. The link was missing, as the web site no longer exists.

I went to the internet wayback machine, entered the URL, and it showed something from a while back, and that link had the picture.

The wayback machine is here (with apologies to Mr. Peabody and Sherman):

"No apologies needed Sherman. Surely you've heard of a 'cook's tour'?" (sour trumpet blaat)
