Back to the original Question;, does the loco even have "1/2 brasses"? Where would you put felt if the bearing is just a typical "Hardware Store/Commercial" round sleeve bearing?

Loco has roller bearings. The tender has half brasses I ended up putting felt under the axle. This should lube the bearing and not get oil on everything.

I think a sleeve bearing would require an oil bath to remain lubed.
Which would require oil seals inboard of the sleeve on the axles,
which would require...
You get the idea.
I contemplated this when building my Ten Wheeler, and ended up making the 1/2 brasses, per the drawing. Then the existing axle boxes could hold the require oil, using the felt to transfer it to the bottom of the rotating axle.
A basically good prototype design.

How are your roller bearings lubricated?

The roller bearings are lubricated buy cross drilled holes in the axle. There is a hole in the center of the axle You just pressed the oilcan up to it squeeze until you see it coming out of the other side of the bearings
