Duplex Water Pump Identification please
Hello All.
Can anyone help me identify this nice duplex type water pump?
Who made the castings?? Are there any prints available?
Thank you for your time

Re: Duplex Water Pump Identification please
Best guess is the castings came from Ken Seymour. Pump was built by the late Barney Barningham.

I agree with Dean, Barney put that block on the bottom like yours to make them work.

I have a set of castings and drawings for that Barney Barningham pump.

The photo above shows a classic cross compound air compressor, regardless of how it is used now.
A duplex pump has two identically sized steam cylinders, and two identically sized water pump cylinders which are smaller than the steam cylinders.
To make a true duplex pump requires some complexity in the steam valve actuating mechanism without this one would have two simplex pumps working alternatively.

When someone references "Howard" in regards to collecting molds and patterns my first guess is Howard Gorin. He's on the forum, user name "Howard Gorin". He's also got a business "The Machinery Works" and if you google that it'll turn up a business selling parts for ophthalmic equipment, but that's him.utahwestie wrote: Is Howard on this forum? or does anyone have some contact information for him?
