Help identify this duplex feedwater pump

Post by Harlock »

This wonderful little pump has the letters "W.V.B. 102" stamped on the back, and is mounted on a Little Engines Atlantic that was built in '79 or so.

After re-honing the pump bore which had been corroded from sitting with water for 30 years, we found it runs and pumps very nicely and is now going back on the engine.

Just wondering if it was a commercial product and if so, who's it was. Given the stamped letters I thought it might be an off-the-shelf item sold at one point, and the '102' could be a serial number.

Best,

-Mike

That is a pump built by Bill Van-Brocklin of Massachusetts. He built many pumps, injectors and locomotives in his time. He serialized all of his items and kept a log of who had them if my memory serves me correctly.

Aaaah, I did not put the initials together with the name, I should have known that. :) Thank you.

That same pump easily keeps up with a Northern boiler's demands.
