Train is finished
Train is finished
I just wanted to share that the train is finally on the rails.
I still need to finish the details and brakes, i currently only have operating brakes on the two baggage cars. just need to roll each car into the shop one at a time to finish the details.
Two baggage cars, four coaches and the observation.

If it is not live steam. its not worth it.

Thank you, the cars not super detailed, they are not intended to be the center of attn.. but they do look the part.
this is 1.6 scale (7.5 inch)
I shot this using a new action camera, i was having wifi connection issues between my phone and the camera. when the connection would drop it would stop recording. so i did not get a lot of video. but here is what was able to get.
i had my 7 cars plus the two i built for the club. it was a heavy train to start on damp rail

Re: Train is finished
the bodies are built from 16 gauge steel. they way i can man handle them, i would be surprised if the bodies are more then 50 lbs. the roof is maybe 25 lbs. and the trucks are likely 40 lbs each. but this is just a guess, dwilloughby wrote:Chris,

i did make it a point to keep them as lite as possible with out using aluminium.
