What's involved to switch to propane, is it very complex, or just a matter of cleaning the firebox out and slipping a burner in there?
And adding a propane tank and hose obviously...

as a temp solution, this will work. but to get max efficiency. the front end needs to be changed. propane does not need the draft that coal and oil demand. if just needs enough draft for a clean burn. and more, its just cooling the fire box
If it is not live steam. its not worth it.
