Does anyone out there have a source for a 7" driver (57" prototype) with a SQUARE counter weight, 12 spokes (4 on the counter weight, 8 open)?

a crescent driver with durham water putty to fill and and 'square out' works if you cannot find anything else.

I don't know of any that meet your specification exactly. I have 6 drivers I got from Power Model Supply back in 1988 that have 13 spokes and a square counterweight that covers 5 spokes. It is slightly larger than you are looking for, the ones I have are 7 1/4" across the tread. The ones I have are not available, they are from a Mogul I have torn down to rebuild. I don't know what happened to the pattern - it may have been lost when PMS burned down.

Another possibility is the Colorado Midland Ten-Wheeler drivers from Rogers-Cooke. They have 15 spokes and a square end counterweight that covers 5 spokes. They look like they would finish to a 7 " diameter. You could check with Bill Holder and see if he still has some.

The Winton Mogul has 7" drivers with a square conter weight. I don't have a picture on this computer to add. I don't know if they are available any more. The last Winton website is down.

Check with Martin Model & Pattern. My pattern for the wheel you might be looking for now belongs to them.
