Does anyone know where we could acquire the drawings for the Dave Skagen 2 1/2" scale bronze coupler? The knuckle locking method is where the mystery is - even a photo would help.

I bought the working pair that was for sale from Harlock. I don't have drawing but if any pictures of the working/finished coupler can be of any help, just let me know.

As they say: "a picture is worth a thousand words" and in this case a thousand drawings that I don't have. Yes, please photograph the open coupler looking in on how the pin is made and how it works with the knuckle. Thanks very much!

Brian,
Do you find that these couplers have a great deal of play from push to pull - like > 1/2"? The RMI couplers don't have near that and these 'bronze' ones would need to be modified to reduce that.... then the RMI couplers would not work with them. They don't appear to pull straight on eachother either, but then these are rough castings - darn, I certainly hope they will work out OK. The train grows an inch longer per car.... pushing in not a happy thing anyhow.

They do seem to have a lot of slop with regards to push and pulling. I do not know if that is typical or not. I took several pictures but I need to download them on my computer to properly size them for posting.

Great photos! Answered the question about the knuckle pin and how it functions.... no automatic latching except for the pin dropping back down.... I guess it works OK.
