Hopefully within the next week I will be making the last cast before the winter really come in. Right now it is not too bad around here. Here are the waxes all treed up ready to be invested and then burned out, ready to cast.

The second picture is of the castings I made on the last pouring session. A cross head for the heavy Mike and the reverse lifting arm. the wax in red is the same part but with the arm to attach the reversing rod of power reverse.

Very nice, Dave. How are you melting the bronze? Are you vacuum casting, or centrifuge?

Hi Harold
I melt my metal using propane and I vacuum cast them. I made an 8 Part video on how to do the process from making the furnace making the molds and waxes ans the investment process.

Hi Dave,

Looks great as always. Do you have any recommendations for a book(s) on lost wax/investment casting? Thanks again.

Looking forward to seeing your next casting video. I was getting concerned you had given up on it with all the cooking videos lately. Guess they are just a warm up for the "hot" stuff?? LOL
