Winton Brown question?

Recently I have been asked to do some repairs and upgrades on a 20 year old Winton Brown 2.5 scale narrow gauge Consolidation. With various improvements needed, the lack of prints has been problematic in what the original design actually called for.

Does anyone know what the prints called for in regards to the cylinder bore diameter?

I suspect it may be close to 3 inches but not sure.

You may want to contact John Braun at Mammoth Locomotive Works. At one time he had the Winton line of castings.

Robert,

My Winton catalog lists the bore at 3.125.

How bout sharing a pic or two. I didn't realize any of these actually were built.

Regards,

Doug

With all of the visits to the locomotive for measurements, I have only taken a camera one time. Only took a few photos as the sun was low and lighting was poor at best. With the improving sun angle, I will try to get a few images in the next few weeks for all to see. The big half ton locomotive is rather striking with all of the new details and resembles the products offered by Tom Artzberger.

Thank you Doug for the important information.
