Custom cylinder cocks
Expert machinist PLEASE help!!
I am in need of replicating 4 times an existing steam operated cylinder cock from brass stock. I would mail you the one cock that I still have. Price for machine work is negotiable. These are beautiful, ornate globes. Of the original 4, two were “lost” and one is damaged. I have only the fourth one remaining perfectly and completely intact. Can you PLEASE help?? Thank you for any consideration. Tintern Abbey currently has 2.5” scale RMI cocks on her and I don’t like them. Mike in OKC.

Re: Custom cylinder cocks
Do these have the tapered plugs in them ?
Re: Custom cylinder cocks
I took on the task of making these for Mike. They are finished now. Interesting design. There is a shuttle behind that small hex plug. Control steam pushes it outward to block drillings to the outlet and inlet. Release control steam and cyl pressure pushes the shuttle back allowing them to vent out.
The body is made in 2 parts. the cross piece is silver soldered into the body and then the holes are drilled to connect to the inlet and outlet.

Re: Custom cylinder cocks
Any chance of posting a sketch showing the internal ports? Thx.

ports marked with red arrows. I suppose it is possible that a little wisp of steam can drip from the outlet.
