Re: Finger Lakes Live Steamers 50th Anniversary Meet
I'm planning a couple of special treats for the 50th at FLLS. We are trying to get our 1930's George the fifth running by then. It's a Bassett Lowke 4-4-0 English engine that was the first engine to introduce superheating in the early part of the century.
I would also like to host a reunion of all 7.25 0-4-0 camelbacks at the 50th meet.

I don't think any of your images came through. Make sure you use the "preview" feature before you post, and you can see if your photos will show up or not.
I look forward to seeing your locomotive "live" at the meet!

I'm signing up soon - will be traveling from St. Louis. I look forward to the action on the 1" scale line. Who else is bringing equipment for the 1" Track? I'd love to meet more 1" folks!

I'm planning on coming with my 1" pacific, and maybe my 3/4" pacific if I can get it rebuilt in time.
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and also seeing all the additions to the track!

the FLLS requires a current , for 2019, boiler hydro test and locomotive safety inspection including working brakes. FYI
We just relaunched the website so excuse the dust while we mop up the last few items.

Sorry about the pictures missing on the earlier post....
I did find someone in the Midwest that was rebuilding another 1173 but I'm assuming the one in this picture is at PLS still.

FLLS has a very active 1" group. They also have a lot of sidings if you want to play train operator. it's gauged 4 3/4Mike Walsh wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 6:14 pm I'm signing up soon - will be traveling from St. Louis. Yes, all steam locomotives will require a current (2019) boiler cert. Brakes are not required for 4-3/4" gauge steam locos, although, some sort of brakes on the riding car is certainly a good idea. (No feet dragging!) There are several grades that I would not want to go down without brakes! My brakes are on my riding car and it works out quite well. Most electric locos have dynamic braking and that seems to be good enough for non-steamers.
